If your citizenship certificate is missing, or you have mailed the original to Immigration and Citizenship for an update, and have to travel urgently but do not have a valid passport, call Passport Canada and book an appointment. You can still apply for a passport with a limited validity period.
Make sure you take all the requested documents along with you, including your flight booking, any documentation that you may have to support the reason for your urgent trip, and any documentation that can show why you do not have access to your citizenship certificate.
Do not forget to have any document that is not in English or French translated by an ATIO-certified translator.
